Soft2Bet Secures Ontario Certification for North American Expansion

Soft2Bet, being on a continued growth spree, has recently received certification to operate in Ontario, a high-ranking province and a significant gambling hub in Canada. The certification, disclosed on Tuesday, illustrates that the company, inspected by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), has been issued with a Certificate of Registration, granting the brand the right to expand within the region.

Certification in Canada is a crowning achievement in Soft2Bet’s northeastward expansion, as it lays the foundation for future steps and the launch of Tooniebet.com, the brand name of the company’s iGaming in Canada.

The fact that Soft2Bet is expanding rapidly into Ontario Province comes as no surprise, especially given the great growth prospects in the betting and iGaming sectors for the province. This is also a step taken by the company to grow the organization.

An additional instance of this appears through the January Soft2Bet—Hacksaw collaboration, which focused on the gambling business in Romania, where strategic partnerships had been used. This agreement will allow Hacksaw Gaming to provide the games that would be the driving force for the products of Sing.ro, a Soft2Bet brand in Romania.

This partnership extends the product’s gameplay range to its new users, who can play top hits such as Wanted Dead or Wild, Bande à Part and RIP City from Hacksaw Gaming’s catalog.

Soft2Bet Leaders Excited for Ontario Certification and North American Growth

Hans Ubermueller, currently a Soft2Bet Chief Business Development Officer, revealed his delight at the new certification the company recently received in Ontario. He underlined that this certification was designed to be a strategic element in the company’s expansion schemes.

Collins’s statement that the deal wasn’t just about the expansion of Soft2Bet’s geographic localization, it was also about the strategic alignment with Soft2Bet’s goal to boost its regulation, he showed a lot of excitement to move further along that process.

Elizabeth Isaksson, Soft2Bet’s Head of Regulatory Compliance, had similar things to say and also commended Collins on the work. She stated that the compliance and regulatory divisions render the company’s efforts in expansion and development in highly regulated industries much easier.

Isaksson conveyed optimism about Soft2Bet’s initial foray into North America and anticipated further regional licensing and expansion.

The introduction of sports betting and iGaming in Ontario occurred almost two years ago. In April 2022, the province passed new laws, essentially opening the door for the growth of internet gambling. Two years later, the gaming industry in Ontario emerged as a significant player in North America.

In 2023, operators in the province declared wagers of CA$17.2 billion for the fourth quarter, a 21% rise. Similarly, Q4 2023 gross gaming revenues reached CA$658 million, a 22% increase.
