Best Online Amex Casinos 2026

As we’ve mentioned before on this page, Casino Today prides itself on bringing you only the best of the online casinos that take American Express.

The way we ensure we bring you only the best is via a long, detailed process: we search far and wide online, to see which casinos accept AmEx as a payment method, and then get to work, whittling down our list until we’re certain we have the best of the best casinos to recommend to you.

This is the end result of a multi-step process, which we set out below:

Here’s what we look for, when checking out a potential American Express casino to recommend to you.

The very first thing we do is check that a casino actually accepts American Express as a payment method, across either, or both, deposits and withdrawals. Once we know it does, we move onto the next stages of our vetting process:

Casino Overview

We like to see that a casino stands on its own as a casino, as well as offers you certain payment methods. That means, we scour the casino to see how easy it is to sign up, navigate, and how it looks and feels in general. We check for any crashes or bugs, and note how long it takes for the site to load.

Then, we head over to the game lobbies. We like to see that there’s enough of a variety of games on offer, for every type of player. We also note if there are any types of games missing, as well as how many games are available to play across each category. If it’s not enough to keep us interested, we scrap the casino from our potential recommendations and don’t continue the process.

American Express Bonuses

After we’re certain the casino functions nicely and there are enough games and types of games to keep you interested it’s time to repeat the process with the bonuses on offer.

We head over to the bonuses and promotions section, checking out the welcome bonus and other promotions on offer. We note if there’s a VIP or loyalty scheme, and what each of these will give you over time.

We like to see a generous, fair welcome bonus, as well as enough regular and ongoing bonuses and promotions for players once they’re not a newbie any more. We like to check out the Terms and Conditions of the different types of bonuses on offer, to make sure they’re fair.

You really can never be too careful when it comes to taking a bonus or promotion from a casino, after all, they all come with some terms and conditions you need to be aware of!

For that reason, Casino Today takes our responsibility to you seriously, checking every casino we recommend for –

• The casino’s welcome bonus
• The casino’s other bonuses and promotions (the ones not just for new players)
• Any VIP or loyalty programs on offer
• Cashback and other extra goodies

We like to see that these are all generous and fair, as well as if any of the online casinos that accept American Express have any specific bonuses just for depositing with it.

Although not every online casino takes American Express, the ones that do might either offer you AmEx deposits, or withdrawals – or both. Either way, it’s always best to check if a casino offers you both AmeEx deposits and withdrawals, or only one of these, before you sign up to that casino.

You should also check to see if there are any extra fees – either from the casino, or from American Express – for using your AmEx card to deposit or withdraw to the online casino you’re interested in. It’s pretty likely that there’ll be some extra fees along the way…which is why you need to know what these are before you’re clobbered with them!

Security & Safety

Even if you have the tightest security available on your AmEx card, your security is only as good as the casino site’s security measures!

We look for a solid range of security measures on every casino site we recommend – at a minimum, they should have SSL encryption across the site, to protect your personal details and financial details. Then We look for signs of regulation, as well as other security measures

Customer Support

We hope it’ll never come down to it, but if it does, we want to see that there’s reliable and responsive customer support available, that you’re able to quickly and easily get in touch with should you need to.

We check to see the times that the customer support team is around (and if it’s not 24/7, we want to see that it’s as close to it as possible), as well as the different ways you can get in touch with customer support. Then we test out the support on offer, making sure it’s helpful, quick enough and as we expect.

Using American Express to fund your online casino player account is a fun, secure way of getting your gaming going, but you might not know that there are a whole host of other benefits to playing at online casinos that accept American Express!

• Reliability

Since not just any online casino accepts American Express, the ones that do are clearly a cut-above: if an online casino has gone to the trouble of proving that they’re worthy of processing AmEx deposits and withdrawals, then you can be certain that they’ve jumped through quite a few number of hoops to bring you the option of doing so! You can be certain you’re playing at a licensed, secure and regulated casino if you see the option to deposit and withdraw with American Express at the cashier!

• No fees

Most other payment methods – other credit cards and bank transfers, even some ewallets – might charge you fees for either depositing or withdrawing your money (or both) in addition to any of the casino’s fees for processing your cash. This is completely unacceptable and ridiculous – while we all have to make a living, we don’t think you should be charged for what’s yours. With online casinos that accept american express, it’s unlikely that you’ll need to pay any fees for either depositing or withdrawing. You might also find yourself lucky enough to see your deposit has been credited instantly to your player account when using amex.

• Completely secure

Just as it keeps your details secure when you use it offline, that’s also the case when using your amex at an online casino. You’ll be asked to give over some secure information, such as your cvv (3-digit code on the back of your card) to prevent you from needing to give over more sensitive personal and financial information. An added benefit of using amex at an online casino is that you can easily keep track of your spending, all from your account. You can also set yourself deposit limits at the casino itself, to ensure you don’t go over your budget. If this doesn’t go far enough, you can also ask amex to block you from being able to use your card at the online casino.

• Straightforward to use

Just as with other credit cards and ewallets, depositing withdrawing with american express is super simple, it’s just like online shopping – you’re taken to the cashier, and will be asked to input your amex details. Follow the process until you see that your deposit has been accepted, et voila. With online casinos that take american express, you might have to keep your amex at hand for the first time you want to use it (unless you have your card’s details memorized!), otherwise the casino will probably keep that info, so you can use your amex next time straight from the cashier.

• Loads of currencies available

Although credit cards are accepted by every single online casino, depositing withdrawing with american express means you’re opening yourself up to a world of different currency options. So, if you want to deposit or withdraw in a few different currencies, this is the best, easiest and most secure way to do so!
